The information and entertainment that most people consume is mass culture. Online news, popular movies, and that TV show everyone's talking about are all part of mass culture.

Another name for mass culture is popular culture or pop culture. It's a way to describe the collective interests of the masses, or the greatest number of people. The term includes the media we consume, but also the ideas and traditions that are generated by what we read, watch, and do. The sports you follow, video games you play, and big stories in the news you talk about are all part of mass culture.
